Accommodation, hospitality, entertainment and events for families, church groups and weddings — currently welcoming guests to the original farmhouse while the wider lodge is developed.
Enquire about a stay See what's availableThe lodge sits on its own plot outside town, set apart from the cluster of lodges closer in. The original farmhouse has been renovated into the first phase of guest accommodation, currently hosting up to 12 guests, while the surrounding land is developed into the fuller lodge experience over time.
The site is being planned in zones — guest cabins, gardens and conserved natural land, a small working farm area, and shared spaces for events and recreation — so the lodge grows without losing the quiet, out-of-town feel that sets it apart.
Up to 12 guests, in the renovated original house on the property. This is the base the rest of the lodge is being built out from.
The lodge is developing in phases. What's below reflects the current plan — cabins and shared facilities are being sequenced as the site is built out.
The renovated original house — up to 12 guests. Available today.
Individual cabins spaced through the grounds, planned with outdoor hot tubs. In development.
Dedicated camping ground and caravan park for groups who prefer to bring their own setup. Planned.
The site plan sets aside space for recreation, quiet nature time, and shared gathering areas — built around families and groups spending a full day or weekend on site.
A trail through the property with a climbing wall and quiet benches along the way.
Activity areas for groups and youth events.
A shared pool for guests.
Landscaped gardens alongside a section of the property kept as natural, conserved land.
Working farm plots on site, in keeping with the family's farming background.
A shared area for meetings, waiting areas and group gatherings — used by weekday corporate groups and weekend family events alike.
Spa/massage and a coffee shop are also part of the site plan; a water park was considered and set aside on cost.
The lodge is planned around two audiences that fill different parts of the week: corporate and conference groups midweek, and families, churches and weddings on weekends. A calendar of hosted events runs through the year to keep the property busy in both.
| When | Focus |
|---|---|
| Year-round | Church camps, Sunday school retreats, family days, weddings |
| Weekdays | Corporate stays and conferences |
| Weekends | Religious and family groups |
| Annual | A themed flagship event, built for reach and word of mouth |
Specific month-by-month themes (e.g. a Father's event, a Youth event, a Women's event) are still being finalised with the owner and will be confirmed here once locked in.
A portion of the lodge's proceeds is set aside for free and sponsored community events — for orphanages, disability awareness days, and family days — funded because it's the right thing to do, not as a favour owed to anyone.
The lodge also runs one-month hospitality internships, giving young people practical training and a foot into the industry — part of a broader intent to create jobs rather than hand-outs, and to support widows and orphans who didn't choose their circumstances.
Hands-on hospitality training on site, open to young people from the surrounding community.
The lodge takes bookings and enquiries directly — there's no online store, so this form is the fastest way to check availability and start planning your visit.
